I must confess that during the adoption process there were times when I was completely obsessed with any new information on adoption. I searched the web, read books, followed blogs, and asked tons of questions from anyone I thought could give me an insight on adoption. The most helpful thing I found was through the blog community. I came to know many women of incredible faith through their blogs about adoption, and each one of them has inspired me to grow as a mom, a friend, a daughter, a wife, but most importantly a child of God. Sometimes I wonder if God showed me the road to adopt, just for that purpose itself.. Every blogger I followed had a similar photo while in China adopting their children, I pledged that when we got there I would seek this place out and seize my daughters photo there too.
It's called "lingering Music" I don't know the history behind it, but it's just simply beautiful to see. It is an icon of international adoption (although I don't know why). Hadley wasn't so sure about standing alone and posing for a photo with the statue, but we did manage to get a few picture of her with it though.
We found this statue and many other statues on what Helen called the "Island", we spent an hour or so here shopping, taking photos and walking around. This Island used to be owned by the British I believe and you can see by the proof in the architecture.
This is one of my favorite photos of Hadley and I, she is slowly letting me love her.
