China 8 "The Chen Clay Academy"

We went to the Chen Clay Academy to visit, we took in some arts and crafts and bought some souvenirs for the family back home. This building was built by the Chen family many years ago as a temple to worship their ancestors.

Inside the Academy they have artist and small shops with beautiful things inside.

This artist paints using only black ink, his fingers, nails, and hands.... it was amazing to watch! Brian and I bought a beautiful piece of art from him as a keepsake from this part of China.

The above photo is of an embroidered piece of art work that took over 100 years to finish. The people of the Shantou province are very artistic, and these are Hadley's ancestors. the bottom photo is of art carved out of bone.

maybe our girl will have an artistic side like Harrison.
